My name is Wiebke Light and I love to spend time doing art and thinking about new creative projects. I currently teach a pottery class to Middle School students and assist in the art room of The Jewish Days School in Seattle.
Before kids, I earned a Master’s degree in Art History from Hamburg University and an MA in Art and Material Culture from The Jewish Theological Seminary of America.
I love to combine my historical knowledge of Jewish art with my passion for crafts. Contemporary Judaism is in desperate need of innovative Judaica. This blog is an attempt to open a discourse on what Jewish ritual art of the 21st century can look like.
I invite you to participate and send your ideas my way – I would love to feature them on Bisamim.
Love your Blog. I hope to use it from time to time. I am sure i will be very helpful. And, I will tell friends.
Thank you very much,
Roberta, aka Chaya Rivka
